Afrikids is blessed to have the support of committed and passionate sponsors, who step up each year to cover the education and living expenses for one or more students. It’s a significant investment and we are grateful to all of you. Currently, we have 24 individuals and families that sponsor students — 10 in Florida, 9 in Colorado, 2 in Michigan, 1 in California, 1 in Nevada, and 1 in Switzerland.
We are also fortunate to have a donor in Miami, who does not sponsor a specific student but makes a monthly donation to Afrikids. As the program continues to expand, we are always on the lookout for new sponsors and donors.
Many of our sponsors, such as Jeff and Marta Liroff in this photo, have traveled to Tanzania to meet the students and visit the schools. It’s what it’s all about! See the gallery of smiling faces at the bottom of this page.

Afrikids is also very fortunate to have a corporate sponsor, Africair, Inc., which has backed the project since its inception. A family-owned business, Africair is the world’s largest distributor of Textron Aviation aircraft (Cessna & Beechcraft), representing Textron Aviation in 46 countries in and around Africa. Africair is also the Independent representative for helicopter manufacturer Bell Textron Inc. in 40 countries in the region.
Four of the Africair owners are individual sponsors of Afrikids students. The company provides support by underwriting travel and accommodation expenses for Afrikids directors when they visit Tanzania to work with Kitoi and the students.
